SYLVIO B

STEP RECORDINGS I MAJORETTES

DJ- Travels from Paris

Although raised in greater Paris, it was in Germany that Sylvio B’s artistic journey truly began. Embraced by Hamburg’s vibrant queer scene and mentored by icon Saeleen Bouvar, he learned the “herstorical way of DJing”—a tradition steeped in storytelling, culture, and community. Originally performing as Sylvio Bouvar in tribute to his mentor, he’s now defined by a style distinctly his own.

With an effortless elegance and a sharply curated sense of fashion, Sylvio B exudes a polished charisma both behind the decks and beyond. His DJ sets are lush, layered experiences that travel across genres and generations: bridging the raw energy of Chicago house, the opulence of ballroom beats, and the bold edge of electroclash. It’s this genre-defying spirit that shines a bright light on his future promise as an artist.

He’s graced iconic stages in New York (the Good Room), Berlin (Oxi, Fusion Festival), Hamburg (PAL), Amsterdam (Doka), London (Dalston Superstore), and Paris (Virage), just to give a few examples—each set a testament to his range and reverence for dance floor culture.

Sylvio’s production debut “Turn Me Out” on Les Disques du Lobby marked his entry into the studio with flair. A remix of “The Oracle” (The Carry Nation & The Cucarachas) gained global traction, landing spins at Panorama Bar and praise from Electronic Groove. His EPs, including a collaboration with house legend Robert Owens and the standout Body Control on Step Recordings, received enthusiastic acclaim from tastemakers like Alinka, Josh Wink, Hannah Holland,  Massimiliano Pagliara, Luke Solomon, and more.
